        • If you get it running, you've gotta take it for a spin as it is!

          • awaiting coilovers and strut braces....

tried to take the exhaust off the other car but because i think he raced it it had a number of mounting points with quite firm rubbers so will have to look at it again......

            • Lemme know what strut braces. I want upper and lower front neuspeed ones as well as a rear upper and a sway bar too.
I'd buy em with you from O/S which might save us some coin on freight.

              • after some opinions!

looking at buying carpet & headlining soon....the aim is to try and keep the car fairly simple and tidy.

i have original brown door cards, refurbished brown dash.....

was planning on getting new headlining in the original fabric in white?

and then perhaps just replacing the carpet in brown (as it came from the factory)? But I was thinking black too? Not sure....

the only interior difference will be recaro's which will be black

any thoughts on colours schemes would be good

                thanks.

                  • so I got the exhaust out of the other car today...seems to be in pretty good condition.

It's actually quite larger in diameter than the stock exhaust from the flex pipe onwards....

                    • so today the wiring for the engine was basically finished up....just need to buy a battery and tidy up a few little bits and pieces and the wiring is done...

made up all the fuel lines, need to buy fuel filters and then thats finished...

got the radiator pressure tested during the week and was told it was leaking...so i will need to source a new radiator this week....

connected and adjusted the clutch cable...and in the process of making the throttle cable...

hopefullly if all goes to plan the motor will kick over next weekend!

                      will take some pics tomorrow.

                      cheers.

                      • Good to hear dude!

On the interior colours... Black and brown are never going to go well together IMO.
                        Got pics of the recaros?
They won't really blend in regardless, because they're probably a much more modern looking seat than the standard ones.

I say have brown carpet, white headlining and everything else standard and tidy; with the modern seats right in the middle it'd make a nice contrast i think! Unless you want to go to the effort of re-trimming them, but in brown they'd probably look pretty weird!

                        Good to see progress.
