            Bit more research and it lookslike the same rubber was used on the T4 Kombis, probably still an active part at VW dealers.

            I'll see if I can confirm the T4 part number.

              Here you go.

              2005 T4 Kombi part number 7H2 721 647 A (Golf part is 171 721 647 ) I reckon they're the same part.

                I've just posted him the pedal rubber off one of my wrecked MK1s and the VW Part no is the same as the picture above...
