Very nice.. You'll have that running before i get mine done, that's for sure!! haha.
Probably - but you're building yours from scratch. I wouldn't even know where to start. I am really good at pulling things apart, but i have trouble putting things back together...
I saw her today, not much progress - but it's slowly getting there.
Well...
The colour is called Bionic Blue - it's a Ford colour. Very bright flat blue.
Wheels - i'd like some nice old school split rims with a polished lip, middle colour coded to the colour of the car. Possibly BBS,but i always have my old polo rims in the mean time.
Interior will be some sweet seats i've picked up, re-upholstered in black with blue tartan up the middle (like on the bit where you sit). I have a 6n Polo dash to go in, and the rest will be stone guard grey with some brushed stainless bits to cover up the ugly bits. Engine bay will be black stoneguard. Not sure on door skins yet, but will work it out when i get to it (still a fair way off!)
Coilvers = yes, every car i have has them, so this one can't be left out.
At this point, it is a bit hard to imagine this. I have all the important bits so far! Car, Lump, (almost have braking system) and Driver.
How many kw's does a standard mk2 1.8l gti motor have anyway? and then throw the twin dellortos on, anyone? Dont think Steph really cares I was just curious, should sound good anyway All I here around the house is Steph going on about her little project hehe
Datsun 240K coupe
Nissan Skyline r32 GT-R V-Spec 1
mk 2 GTI 16V with a KR on Kjet, came with 139HP, factory. Given the generous application of twin carburettors, the same amount of power should be easily attanable (given a good strong/fresh engine)
That HP will be fun. This car's going to be more practical than anything yeah guys?
Or show car/track car/weekend warrior?
I'm thinking weekend warrior, but i know when it's done, i will want to drive it every day (and more than likely will).
I wanted track car, but i'd be too scared i'd dent a panel or rash a rim. I am allergic to dents and gutter rash.

You going to ride it super low like the 'cool' kids?
Ah bugger it, sometimes it's fun to not plan everything.
I dunno... There is just so many options! It will probably end up totally different to what i'm picturing now.
I should really focus on getting the body spot on, then the engine in and running first. Then i can have a bit of fun with the styling.
now i am jealous absolutely love the 16v motors. wanted to install one in my sons car, but hard to find in aus. you cannot imagine what hp these motors can do.
