well... it would be if i didn't know a guy who knows a guy that does certification will get the engine purring this week with a few tweeks and get the new wheels on (with good tyres) and probably get the cert. by early next month.. then we're lowering her and putting on the GTI arches.. work on the rust a bit.. and find some new window seals.. any tips and ideas are very welcome. its a massive experiment

                  Hey dude.

Geez that Mk1 looks familiar... I think it was a devonport/ulvie car at one stage.

Yep actually I do know it. Used to own to a girl I went to college with. Then It was sitting at John Hall for a while. I was considering taking it when I was building my second Mk1 project but decided I didnt need a 3rd mk1 in the drive way hahaha.

Looks like a good project to start with anyways matey. Liking your plans. I would recommend getting that engine sorted and tidying up the electrical.

                      I'd "rat" it.

get it running right, get the inside clean and comfy, dump the *********** out of it and drive.

*edit: maybe get a red door or something to shake things up.
