  • SOOOO been a while..

tried to get it running nice on saturday..

replaced all fuel lines and re attached wires to their correct places.. then started to try and get it going! we got to the point where we had fuel pump working nicely and feeding into the carby nice.. bit of carbvy fartin going on but its all good.. but still no roar to life!

kept trying a few things.. fail..
looked at timing and saw that it is out... is that a problem?

alternator is good.. fuel pump is good.. diz is good.. all nice fat sparks coming out.. in the right order.. but the timing is scewif..

    what do i do?

        • normally, this is the part where I start guessing! it never works though.

Have a search around, I'm sure someone would have posted up some info about setting the timing and basic tuning.

          • Better ring me Josh, I will pm you a little later on anyway.
By the way, the front guard flares are fitted on the incorrect sides by the looks of it. Easy mistake, I have seen some of the best get it wrong.

                  • 15 x 6.5 i think. and i'd estimate a +15 offset. so wheels are basically flush with GTI gaurds.. which leaves few options.. maybe lower til hovering nicely above wheel, or flare gaurds.. i learn toward a nice neat flush fitment.
