    • Think one of my mates down here's going to grab them off me for his E30.

Tires removed. Got the last set of 155/55's in the region (country even?) ordered, will have them fitted next week.

Haha! Slightly OT, but this made me laugh! My Mrs is temping at the moment and makes exactly the same comments - except she saves for clothes :-p

          • Yeah I'm spending pretty irresponsibly. Happy to admit every dollar i spend on this car is a waste, but gotta spend my money on something!

Looks like I'll get away with 8mm spacers up front. Don't ask.

Has anybody ever had spacers or adaptors made to suit both the wheels centerbore and the car's hub size?

              • Can you get the grinder out of the brake caliper?

Haha. I'm no metallurgist, but it looks okay-ish to me.

                  • I know a few people have had to give the brake calipers a quick lick with the grinder to avoid running spacers...

                    • If i tried to AVOID running spacers there wouldn't be much caliper left...

                        • Before adjustment:

5+3mm slip-on spacers (with longer bolts obviously)?

                            • Just a bit.

Did a bunch of stuff today. While I was test fitting one of the rims my old man came out, looked at the car front-on and saw the poke and just goes "nope, not gonna work" shaking his head.
Made test-spacers out of wood, 9mm to be exact. Probably gave me 3 or 4mm of clearance between the caliper and the wheel.

Also made a new brake light switch. It looks dodgy but I assure you, I could have done it a lot worse. Need to do it again with a welder though.

And to whore my nice carpet:
