So i fitted a Later model Radiator with the External fill up tank thingy

Thing is the fan doesnt kick in and the water starts to flow out of the tank. (lid was off to get out air bubbles.)

The fan works, and so does the sensor as it worked 2 days ago in my other golf. Whats next point of call? i checked all fuses, checked earth wire.. no sure what to look for now.

EDIT, seems i has a wire missing from the G section on fuse panel, its G6 which going by the diagram i found is a radiator thermo switch. i have nothing there. but the wire is near radiator.
I cant see any unplugged plugs, so im guessing its been cut or something? not sure.. might run a wire from G6 to switch and see if it kicks in

SO progress on this one slow atm

Waiting on a new radiator to show up, wired in a Craig Davies Thermatic switch ready for the fan.
Carpet dash out of my Green one is in. was a good time to neaten wires and try fix a few problems. think i got most

Front lip on, Black strips off bumpers as bumpers need a polish, and the strips need painting.

15x7's all round, Got some thick swaybars to chuck on when i can be bothered to pick up the rest of the mounts.

Waiting on a Tappet gasket, manifold bolts, and head studs to hold tappet cover on.

Few pics, She may be up for sale soon so keep eye out

Nice work mate, got alot of problems that you can happily tick of as -done-.

I think you should leave that big duckbill, looks good imo. Coming together slowly, but nice at the same time. Not much left to get it going is there, apart from the bolts and gasket?

          Radiator put in
Carby back on manifold and manifold back on when bolts get here
          Tappet gasket and studs
          Fix oil leak around dipstick
Tidy inside and fix most of the electricall problems that i can.

          Then sell

My indicators were working intermittently as well , found it to be loose terminals where the negative wire meets the body connection , just behind the headlights.
            Hope this helps.

Got A working Gauge Cluster in now
Front and rear swaybars. 22mm at front, 24mm rear (i think)

Had them laying around so put them on
Got radiator in, waiting on a carby and some manifold bolts, tappet gaskets and studs. then should be good to go. and no oil leaks
