just picked up this little Gem today, drove it home on hwy and it didnt miss a beat 279 kays on it.

    1.6L 4 speed

Is a faded yellow, few chips, dent in tailgate.
Interior is nice, no marks on seats or rips, all cloth ones too.
Door cards mint besides speakers in front (neatly done though)
    Dash cracked.

    Plans are
    Fix oil leaks
fix the wiring as indicators work when they want
    need wheel alignment.
Exhaust rubber fell off and it rattles at idle

then in a few months i might lower it more on some wide 13's

Will get more pics tomorrow after ive tidy it up as its a bit shabby atm

Yeah its straight considering. tailgate has dent and has like 6mm of bog.. which has cracked off. but a tailgate is replaced easy.

basically i want it as Daily duties since i miss driving my green everyday.

What year is it? I'm longing for some metal small bumpers.
          Good pick up. More pictures!

They have to stop coming out of the woodwork in Tassie eventually.

That said at one stage when I lived in Hobart I had 6 Hillman Imps, which was at the time the national record in one place.

                  Hahha,

yeah they keep popping up, this one was advertised on a site ive never heard of!!!

Was tinkering tonight with it, one headlight not work, indicators sometimes do, horn doesnt, so im guessing im up for some rewiring

Going to swap some bits from the green one into this one as i may go a different direction with the green one.

Nice pickup. I actually remember seeing this one for sale a few months back when I was first on the lookout for one. I called up and the owner had just sold it. Maybe the new owner might not have realised that Mk1s are playful, and don't always work the way you would like.
77 Mk1 w/2E Engine (no longer for sale)

                              Ahhh busy day so far!!

Done a heap of wiring fixing, got some things working, and others not.. but going to buy new wire to redo some earth points as i know they play a big part.

Put parcelshelf and holders in, speakers in, sterio in, degreased engine and box and the whole bay.
Neatened up bay a bit, put my badgeless grill on.
Put sealant on tappet cover to fix leak, will do till i get a new gasket.

                              Things to do so far,

                              Radiator leaks... pretty bad actually.
                              exhaust rattles
timing cover clangs one engine when idle.

Going to swap my 15's onto it
                              GTi flares
Unsure about the 2 piece duckbill yet

                              Wash it

Pics to come, tis hot and i need a break haha
