Not overly different in style to the mk1 and it is a reality.

Why bother waiting for a car you don't even know exists that may never come on sale?

cool wheels. my cousin has them on his mini. is there any performance increase with having wheels that small. better accelereation? or is it just to look cool

Those specific wheels are built to be super light.
It reduces unsprung weight and allows a better acceleration rate.

Generally the bigger the wheels, the heavier they are.

in the case of that car though i'd have a guess and say it's an aesthetic thing rather than performance

rolling diameter is also possibly smaller than stock, which in effect shortens gear ratios, and a lil bit quicker accel.

but it's done more for looks in this case probably.x

When i owned my mk1, all i wanted to do was get it smick, or find one to buy that was nice. year or two before i bought mine, i was surfing carsales as a regular check to see what was about.

There was a mint mk1 gti black for around 6 grand, not sure if it was on here cause i wasn't a member on vww back then. Once i sold my mk1 i thought i'd never find something as good, ended ip with a 2L mk2 golf. doesn't have the same nostalgia as a mk1 (everything breaking randomly) but still has something different that other cars lack

But now i gone to town on importing a mk2 2dr so just go for what you want.

If you deep down want a mint mk1, wait, there's no rush

Haven't looked for cars to buy since I bought my MK1, which was only about a week ago, but that's still an unusually long amount of time for me to spend away from Carsales!

My plans are RWC/Rego > Drive to work and back daily > Perfect it (concours condition is acheivable!) > slam > install a stereo somewhere hidden > love it to death.

Can't wait to get started! Donate me some time and dollars someone...
