        • Investigation into a coolant leak has revealed a slightly blown head gasket, upon consulting the brains trust out at Camden looks like we'll be opting for a 1.8 cordy motor, ideally never wanted to go about mucking round with the engine but has to be done n should make it a lil more zippy so yeah will keep y'all posted.

            • abs engine?

You'll want a passat manifold & a DGV styel weber carb, that should make a nice daily setup, with slightly better fuel econ than a DCOE style setup, although that'd probably make slightly better power (not much) and sound better.,

Abs as in 1.8 seat/cl motor, still use dgv weber with a passat mani?

                • hm, never heard of that code before, no matter.

passat manifold and DGV style will suit it. There are other options, but this is a bit of a popular one.

                    • Do the dgv's have electric chokes, 32-36 is correct one?

                      • IIRC, DGEV is the one with electric choke, DGAV is water choke, and manual choke choke is something else.

You can modify them though, to suit your application (probably electric or manual choke would be best)

                        and yes, 32/36, mechanical secondaries.
