                        I've done some other checking and VW Motorsport hasn't made them for years. A set appeared on e-bay back in 2006 and went for an insane amount of money.

                        Will most likely tie the struts into the cage. Neat idea though.

                              nope they have no physical connection to the struts,basically inner wing braces you can replicate with two sections of rcds,pull a wing of your mk1 and youll see the benefit is from the additional braceage where it goes across both sides of the turret tower.Your only going to really notice it in a full on hill climb/racer spec mk1.A seam welded,upper and lower braced mk1 will not be much more torsionally rigid than one fited with the supports. IIRC they are also a scirroco 16v part

                                Some guys just plate the inner wing. Not as beneficial as a formed section like the VW Motorsport ones, but would still make a difference.
