Abit off subject but why camera do you use? I keep meaning to get my Nikon out to take some but always use the iphone as its to hand! But yours come up crisp as and just keen to find out what our shooting with?

I checked Alex's EXIF data for you and it's a Canon 400D with a 50mm f/1.8 - it's all about that low aperture! Secondhand that setup would cost you less than an average point and shoot but with a good eye it will take great shots.
