You know you drive a mk1 when it threatens to run out of electricity when you have the indicator, heater and headlamps on at the same time.

You know you drive a mk1 when you value simple luxuries like a working fuel gauge and dash lights.

You know you drive a mk1 4 speed when after 6 months of ownership, you STILL go for 5th on highways.

Pics of the twin eng are in the gallery section allready, though only when i had four down draft 40mm webbers. I am still saving up for two full sets of forged internals to handle the garrett GT 28/35r turbos that i have for it..

                                Not driving ... yet

You know you are building a mk1 when you cant resist sneaking out to the shed to stand an look at it - even though it's -4 and everyone else, including the Malamute has gone inside.
