Will grab some pics 2moro, i took a few but they are useless, so will get some better ones 2moro.
Planning on painting it bright white, but I also like the idea of the early LS orange - also have a set of stripes for it.
Here's a pic anyway

So if you've got, or had a mk1 of any sort whack up a pic (or pics) of your prized beast.

It has a 1.8 with a dellorto carb (unsure of size yet) and a 5 speed box, likes to rev tho haha.
As for "bits" yet I'm not really sure where I want to go with it, but like the idea of gti mods (have a stripe kit already) and some fat wheels.1979 Mk1 Golf GTi

OK, so these look like crap, but lets just say I have some parts at least...
Thanks Ethan for the yellow beast deal... Very good condition, other than the usual A-Pillar rust around windscreen.
This one is the GLD I have just brought back on the weekend. Is a parts car for the Red GLD - to follow... Although, look at the patina on that Paint Job... can anyone say IDEAL RAT?
The Red GLD which is all there, just the engine needs an overhaul... It works, just a bit tired...
And my GLS.... Has had a touch up, but really needs a complete pull down in the next few years and a thorough going over...
Don't get me wrong, it's in good shape, but the paint is a bit thin in places... Even has the original louvre on the back window!Too many dubs to mention....
