I love them to bits.... but its just to time consuming for most to get them on the rd... I mean, even a nice one needs a **** load of stuff to get on the rd.

Too true. It didn't help that the Oz-built LS's weren't that well built.
The German-built GLS's (I had a '79 which was good) were much better.
Every year more either get trashed or sucumb to the cancer...
Even the ones that are basically in fair shape (like mine) need a $$$ to
get back to anything resembling newish condition - unless you live in Tassie.
I'm just stunned at TassieGTI and Valver's cars...
