                  • I don't know if I should start a new thread.... But I think I'll continue this one.... Picked it up off lawny Friday night.... I have to say... I was expecting a long drive back (yes.... I decided that me and my wife would drive it Back to Sydney!) but the diesel isnt a bad jigger!!

Bit about myself.... Been into cars all my life... A diehard ford tragic.... The golfs shed buddy is a '72 falcon GT.... I developed a love for VW's when I was given the job as brand manager of the Volkswagen dealership in orange nearly 9 years ago.

I wanted a project that both myself and my wife can enjoy.... And a VW was the first thing that came to mind....

Mid last year I contacted preeny about buying a VR6..... I went cold on the idea.... Decided I wanted something more old school. In march preeny told me about lawnys car and I guess the rest is history!!

After a long drive home.... I can't wait to start modding it!!

                        • Penrith area..... It's still tidy.... Couple of little things I need to do but I'm being perdantic!!

It needs rims bad.... I bought it with the std wheels.... I bought doms zenders..... But I really want Fuchs or Simmons.... But I'll prob stick with the zenders!! Preeny has them at the min refurbing them!
But it's off to the paint shop first...

                            • Just the roof (removing the racks), it has a bit of cancer in the hatch so ill get it fixed and painted.... And maybe the bonnet.... But it already getting out of hand!!

Other than the rust it's amazingly good!!

                              • Send me a PM, I know where a sound hatch should be available in the mtns near me (saves welding). If you need odds and ends I have a bit of stuff kicking around home as well.
