  • Where old Golfs go to die

I reckon we need a thread to mark the passing of some old classics.

When you finally scrap that parts car, or find a Golf rusting in a paddock, post your pics up here.

I`ll start. We dragged this one round the paddock on its roof, and I towed it to the tip. This picture was taken just after the roof dug into the ground and it flipped itself over!

        Good idea Matt,

Sam found this Mk1 up near Greenwood, the owner wanted a rear quarter and the rear beam for his cabby, wanted to save the car for one of my kids and give him the "correct" panels for his cabby from one of the 2 Cabby's I have to wreck. But NO, he had to have the bits from the 2 door shell.

Was a 76 with minimal rust, have saved a lot of the shell for my Mk1 and rocco floors..

        Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

        Cheers,
        Grant...

Prob was the whole car was doomed by the previous owner, all i was doing was making her live on to keep another golf/rocco on the road..
