He was the one that did my Mk4 steelies. He uses new barrels as opposed to banding. He gets his barrels from ROH and in 15", they came in 8" or 10".

neales wheels are asses. well when i got some centres bored out they were.

          unprofessional and average quality work....

i spoke to peter from oz. banding isn't done much over here. probably because ROH barrels are so cheap compared to guy in shed with 40yrs welding experience.

In my experience he sucks. Gave him some wheels in august to widden by november and they didnt get done. Had to go to his shop in person and ring him to find out info from him. He lost my contact details the first time but still should call me the second time if something changes. Still havent heard anything since last november about them.....im not going to bother with them.

That sucks, though it may have been a busy time with him changing shops and all. My experiences with him have been quick and smooth (steelies widened in a week, buckles taken out and primered over in a few days, taking apart some stubborn 3-piece wheels for no cost).

I went to them to ask about widening, they seemed really reluctant in having my business. Never went back since.

i think it was mentioned earlier in this thread. yup 13x8 +7

i know what you mean about ozwheels. but he will do it. he just can't say much over the phone. if you take a rim there and talk to them they're pretty good. my mate got some rims re drilled. was happy with them .

i'm still tempted to do it. got a few spare bux from selling my daily. hmmm..

                        Rough price per wheel?
Need to find somewhere local, but just after a guide to what it'll cost me.

One of my mates down in Melbourne got his Early Vw rims widened think they where around 150 a rim that was with new outers (7'' wide x 15)
I can ask him who he used if you like

That'd be good mate. I've heard of a place in Geelong, but I'm almost sure it doesn't exist.
                              Let me know. Thanks.

widen steelies look good i reckon,
I might look into some 13x7's..

Anyone know the difference of the track from front to rear?
rims i got now the fronts sit very nice, but the rear is about 10-15mm inwards more.

So if i got one pair in one offset, and one in the other. that would be fine yeah?
Guessing wheel rotation would hamper that abit though
                                <space for rent>
