she's been around the block but I think in desiel terms 398,801km ain't that bad, and she's louder than the old mans 2004 Isuzu 3 tonner but that makes me smile more than anything.

Gahh, she's only just run in!

I saw those plans, and I like it!

If you put chrome bumpers on you'll have holes from where the side of the plastic bar mounts onto the fender & rear qtr.

        Smaller wheel is easy.

Lowering of the seat shouldn't be hard if you're handy with a mig.

My opinon, try not to over accesorise, esp on such a clean car. But hey, I love the cleaner euro look!

EDIT: Looks like it has a few relays in the eng bay, I'm geussing they're a headlight upgrade, which is a big plus!

on an interior note: I'd try and get a nice bit of chrome or polished metal and pop it between the two colours on the door cards, just like they were from factory, adds a bit of pi-zaz imo, Perhaps some chrome door pulls and/or window winders wouldn't go astray either,...

you need good cornering speed so you don't have to slow down after spending 30sec getting to 100kph.

looks nice mate... great find.. if this is your first hi mileage GLD then make sure you know what blowby/runaway sounds like and what to do if it happens.. it'll scare the crap out of you otherwise.

          ENJOY!!

If you want to fit something on the cheap get the front bar off a Mazda Capella from the 80's and weld in your own mounts on the crossbar. Makes a HUGE improvement.

That and a homemade front stress bar and some decent rubber and you'll be chasing Porsche's down mountain passes. I know I did.

And by frontmounted I mean so it's facing forwards not backwards on the rear end.

yeah the old man pointed out the lights... wasn;t sure what the go was there.

Shame about the the holes from the bar really do prefer the chrome bumpers, guess I'll just take them off and decide from there.

Was going to order the chrome door pulls today but found two sources with diffrent design one has ridges the other is all smooth so still deciding on which.

also was thumbing through ebay looked at some wolfsburg edition steering wheels, but there is a nice nardi wooden one I might bid on.

All I managed today was ordering my plates.

I like the idea of the chrome pinstrip in the door cards going to look into that.

lol. 16mm rsb mounted properly is better than none.

spyda was talking about getting wheels widened for 100/piece. cheaper than finding 13x7s with the wrong offset.

my pick would be 13/14 (mk1/mk2/mk3/steelies) x 7 et 25. then loowwwwwww. for some reason wide barrels are cheaper in vic.. in sydney i know it would cost about 125/wheel for 14s to widened to 7s.

Yeah perfect world I'd find a set of Work Equip3 but widened and polished steelies were what I was thinking.

If rsb is the rear swaybar, why dont you guys use "rear swaybar" so we can understand what you are talking about?
We were never taught that that was the term for it in the trade.

Truth?? I'm way too lazy to type the extra letters, but for you I'll start except for in my sig cos I'm already too close to the character limit.

have you checked the colour code yet?

Cause I don't think that is citrus red? I'm thinking Mars red, I don't think citrus red was sold on later cars...???

                                Anyone confirm?

I can't find my early brochure atm.
