just a quick vacuum and a spray down....it'll look like new.
is it salvagable, there appears to be a LOT of rust. i'd imagine the A Pillars, underside of bonnet and underside of roof would be growing huge amounts of rust, maybe to the point of being structurally damaged. How's the engine bay look?
The body doesn't appear to be damaged that badly, looks quite straight. If there was less rust, that would be an awesome project car. I like that kit it's got on it (picturing it painted black and dumped with a nice set of rims.....mmmmm).
it was orange at one stage , but yeah there is some cancer , as with the kit he has all the mouldings ect.... and numerous amount of parts here im talkin front and rear bumpers , front grills badges water pumps , i will be heading up on the weekend so we can go through everything and sort out what good , ahh by the way he bought the red mk2 gti 2 door thats been on this forum we drove all over perth in my mk1 lookin at mk2s for sale hehehe, great night ....
well , all i know is what me mate said is that its a genman import , built on the 6/76 which is on the engine plate , but i kind of found it hard to tell as well !!! i think roccodingo knows this one ? it has all the cloth still intact on the seats and rear seats , tho the engine has been changed in the past
We need an engine bay pic to see if it is even Kjet.
I reckon its a 1976 Aussie Built LS with a bodykit on it.
Give us more pics and / or a VIN number and we can give you the history of it.
