few quick snaps i took last night while the cops were chatting to me

you should see the gap between the RHS front guard and the door lol its huge...the chassis has been bent to the left...

you should have seen the 2 massive lines of rubber from trying to stop...about 120metres long...one of the cops said he got it on video and that it looked pretty cool with sparks coming off the cap like a fireworks display...then they drilled me.

Dang. How quick were you going?

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

what i don't gte is the cops said they saw the other guy driving rapidly and then sped off and then saw me boot it...why didn't they pull us over??? that could have save us...in the end its my fault.

drag racing, crashing cars, loosing licenses is all about living and learning its stupid but every young man does it with what ever car they have new or old, least youve been honest and taking the blame and the members here have been easy on you (other forums well we wont go there what happens with a post like this) ive been there myself done that and i believe you learn by your mistakes BUT! killing a mk1 golf is unforgivable where I come from and being a 2door your a marked man

so how much you selling it for??

What a sorry sight! Is all that damage just from hitting the curb, or did you collect anything else along the way? You must be pretty shaken up. I know I would be, but I've been fortunate enough not to have been there.
            All the best.

Come on, mate... That is a bit harsh. Whilst we all sympathise with the situation and have (for the most part) been there ourselves, you can't blame the police - they weren't driving the car after all

That would have to be one of the most stupidist post's on here!

How in the hell can you blame the police? Where did Stu say the Police were driving his car?

If anyone ever get's caught doing something stupid (touch wood), the only person to blame is yourself!

The only time I've blamed the cop's for something was when we got robbed & they turned up 2.5 day's later & didn't do anything about except for file a report!
We had to find out who done it & we did. Payback is a bitch! That's another story though.

Sorry to hear Stu. Yours was one of the best build threads on here, kudos for doing it all yourself with no budget.

I have been there myself as a foolish young man, I once put a polo on its roof.

As long as you learn from the stupid things you do, its all for the best in the end.

I reckon you could build a badass car in a year with no licence.

So your trying to tell me & everyone else on this forum that the police are to blame for everything that happened to Stu?

Tell me this, if the police are involved in a high speed pursuit & have to call it off because the goose went over 160km/h & then the goose in front loose's the car, crashes & kill's himself after the police let him get away for the time being, the police are to blame?

They're doing they're job, just like you & me.
I admire them, they have a rotten job to do and dont get enough praise for what they do. Rather, they cop abuse from certain people that dont understand what would happen if they all gave up their jobs.
I reckon you would have to have been there last night with poor Stu to know the actual facts though he has explained them pretty well.
I had a major headon prang 14 months after getting my licence (my fault) and I copped a lot of flack over that. I learnt and it made me a heck of a lot better a driver after that. Stu, believe me mate, you will be a much better driver for this experience. Dont leave the forum, whatever you do. A long term build up will help you fill in time.

2 MKI accidents yesterday then, sad day, however mine is mostly back together and I will keep my licence

Is it actually written of or heavy damage?

Spyda, the cops didn't make Stu race and speed did they? it is his fault and no one else's period.

No one seems to be responsible for their actions anymore.....
