  • Wrecked the Yellow Golf today.

    Too rusty to save.

    A few pics from today.

The jack stand almost went through the sill!

This is the neck of the fuel tank.

I second this. It would make a pretty cool ornament to put in your house or garden (not sure how your Mrs would like that though).
Did you manage to salvage some bits and bobs though?
      Cheers,

VERY nice GIF there, very nice indeed

Could have saved the rear for a different kind of little trailer, but then that would have ment work.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

The thought did cross my mind... I'm keeping the rear 1/4s just in case, as spares for the race car. That's why it's cut the way it is.

All the cuts were done with a Ryobi cordless sabre saw Damm those things can do some damage!

Went through two blades and 3 & 1/2 battery charges.

I need all the suspension bits for the race car and the guards and Bonnet will be used too, The roof section will be used for rust repairs in the floor of the race car.

                Saw..

Yeah, the sabre saw makes less mess and a lot faster compared to using a 9" specially when you have to slice thru all the body sealer goop...

Good to see your holding onto panels Pete, if you ever need any more i got a few sets here from wrecks that i have salvaged.

                .
                Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

                Cheers,
                Grant...

Haha - so long as your neighbours don't mind the noise!

With a few of us on the job it would only take 1/2 a day.
