has any one had a car on club rego before
mine golf is coming of the road soon but wouldn't mind
having it in some form of rego
how does it work do i need to be a member of a club
getting a 4wd cause its to had to restore a car and
drive it to work every day

You must be a club member of a club that's acredited by VicRoads .VWCV is one of the acredited clubs..

Hi...I have the rally car on Classic/Historic reg though the HRA (Historic Rally Association).This allows me to use it to attend events run by our club or other clubs events to which our club is invited. It dosen't allow you to drive the car when you might feel like it. The vast majority of people who use this system do not abuse it as the privilege can be withdrawn from the club. You can obtain a single use permit,as I did last weekend to attend the Watercooled cruise in Melb but you can only do this so often and you have to get it in person from your car club rep.
There are talks going on between various bodies who represent different groups and Vicroads to change it to I think 100 days per year using a log book which would be a good thing but I reckon thats a long way off. You would still have to be a member of a accredited car club
