Sheez Jarred, I have been wondering whether to leave the US nose on it less the big bumper. Just to be different....Par 6 Golf GTI. Coilovers, BBS CH Wheels, APR'd

Very true. Are you sure this car will making it all the way back to Tassie? Just bring a whole heap of seal-up with you! hahaha.[/QUOTE]
Chris, I cant see myself fitting the 9A on the side of the Hume mate!!!
Maybe take some chemiweld??? Oh, and water!!!
Locusts?? Wont really bother it if I change the nose on it! Hmmm, wonder how the Tassie quarrantine guys would like a car going tgo Tas covered in locusts? They are pretty strict.Par 6 Golf GTI. Coilovers, BBS CH Wheels, APR'd

Andrew, that first one I posted is one of my fav caddy's.
I think, euro chrome bumper and US front is a good combo, esp, for a work ute. Looks tougher, kinda thing. Euro front makes it look like a toy car, rather than work ute.
If that makes any sense.

Makes a lot of sense Jarred. I have been leaning towards the square front end as the rest of the Caddys are pretty square. Just about all of the caddys that you see in the magazines have the normal front end and so, to be different???
I will see how good a condition the front is in and come to a conclusion. Maybe a bolt on panel with spare guards and bonnet painted up so I can change it at will.
Gotta get a good front bumper either way!!! Hate those US ones!!Par 6 Golf GTI. Coilovers, BBS CH Wheels, APR'd

Its at Annangrove, west of Sydney in what used to be the bush!!!
I am sending up a cam belt today and will await the verdict. Maybe someone in the good old US doesnt know how to set up the pump and cam timing???
I have the gear to do the pump timing, I will let you know and thanks for the kind offer.
I have done a lot of GLD work over the years too.

Nice work Andrew.
Looking forward to the progress.
I reckon it will be fast progress too, which is even better!
Dive in & bang it out!
I prefer the round light's hand's down, but there's nothing wrong with being different.
At least leaving it US spec (piss the US bull bar off! haha) you can get it up & running fast without having to wait around for panel beater's & painter to put a new front on.
Especially coming up xmas!

Hey hey, my wheels have been delivered to the Caddy in NSW. (Well, that didnt take long and wasnt a nightmare??? NOT!!)
It probably worked out cheaper to get them freighted to it rather than to Tassie.
The cam belt and pump timing is to be done to see if its going to survive the run to Hobart.
All going well I will be in Melbourne on sunday the 4th Jan. Better meet up fellas (and gals??) Hands off the 9A ect in the back of it though.

Just found a couple more pics of the Caddy that were on the dsk forum.
Steve fitted up the wheels to show it off at a party last weekend. It looks pretty tidy but needs to be dropped big time eh?? These pics are all that I have seen of it. The tailpipe comes out the lhs apparently and it starts fine but its smokey....
I will be in Melbourne hopefully on saturday the 3rd.
