  • Adaptation without VCDS?

    Hi,
Is their a way to adapt a a G450 sensor without VCDS?
I am fixing a 2010 Polo 1.6 DSG which is in limp mode it had a broken exhaust temp sensor wire and a failed DPF sensor and was driven until it went into limp mode then parked.

I fixed the wiring to the temp sensor, replaced the pressure sensor and cut open the DPF and washed it out. I still have the P2463 soot accumulation code.

The car has no rego so I can't take it for a spin.

If I can't adapt without VCDS is there anyone in the Brisbane/redlands area that can help?

    Thanks very much.

You could try leaving the battery disconnected for a while.

Thanks Umai I left it disconnected for 2 days while I mucked about with the DPF. I also tried cycling the key on and off 3 times.

I purchased a Ross Tech HEX 2 and have done the adaptation fault codes now gone.
I just need to get a roadworthy now and see how it goes I am hoping it is not in limp home anymore.
