On the question of intakes - ifits just for more noise, I reckon one of the Heineken draft keg style intakes would be a good budget option: http://punchpin.com/thumbs/all_files...bucket.com.jpg

      Dear god, probably.

Surprised there hasn't been more discussion on DPF delete anymore

i guess it depends on where you live and whether particulates worry you or the effect on others.

I live in the country so it wouldn't effect anyone to any significant degree but it's likely to be detected soon with tightening of emissions monitoring thanks to VWs diligent work.
            The risk is potential.

Theres lots on more european based forums/groups. Since becoming interested in self tuning, many of the ECU tuning forums I look on have lots of guys deleting DPF's from CR diesels.

Its ironic in a way (from a legal perspective) since Australia is one of the few places you are unlikely to be caught out for it.

Once the EU standardises a driveby monitoring system we will inevitably follow suit under pressure from the medical profession.
Politicians don't want to be branded as not caring about public health issues in major cities so I would think it's just a matter of time.

That will be OBDIII, where the data is available to the authorities outside the car as you drive by, and I've heard with the ability to stop your car if need be. No doubt California will get it first.

The real issue are the fines to tuners busted doing deletes here, max $120k, and I know of two companies that got fined, one went bust, and the other copped $60k as a first offence. Afraid I personally don't want your DPF deletion business!
