  • TDI remap in Victoria?

    Hi All,
Can any one recommend someone who can remap / dyno tune a TDI in Vic? Not looking for a chip but an actual remap.
I have a 2003 LT35 2.5 TDI that I been looking for some extra grunt out of. So far I have installed bigger nozzles on the injectors which resulted in an impressive boost in power. Now looking to remap.

    cheers,

    Steve.

          What about fuel consumption?

My brothers 103TDI Skoda Octavia (2012 model) was remapped with DNA Tuning and he reported (over about 50,000km) that there was no negative effect on fuel consumption, if anything it was a little bit better.

There's always a chip involved, it's where the software goes. You don't have extra boxes under the bonnet. Just the original ECU, not much different to doing a firmware update on a phone or something.

Fuel consumption did get a little worse in my case. Only by an extra litre per 100km.

It's not really an issue though as sound proofing, carpeting, 18mm of plywood and laminate flooring + the 25kg of steel and wood for the rear bed and storage has had way more if an impact on my fuel economy.
