Yes mine does it every 400km but now I am using ultimate bp and cleen diesel additive clearing the dpf light doesn't require such a long drive.

The light still comes up because I always interupt the process.

Update on my progress with the Liqui Moly DPF Cleaner - this stuff is FANTASTIC!!! Cannot recommend this enough for anyone with a DPF that does a lot of city driving - I have now managed to do just over 600kms before an active regen kicked in and it only took 1km of driving to clear that so chances are it was just a scheduled regen and once the soot contact was actually measured it was turned off.
Thats great news for someone who only a month ago was having regens every 80kms ( 2 days ) and was thinking of either replace or remove options.

Actually I got it from Andrew over at German Auto's who got it direct from Liqui Moly's office in Sydney. I haven't seen it anywhere in stores yet and its not even shown on their website. Was about $15 for a can so not too expensive and apparently its meant to be added every 3000kms or so.

I do a lot of short distance city driving and while my vehicle is relatively new(2012 Multivan) I would like to preempt any possible problems with the DPF. Does anybody know where I can get some of this product in the Brisbane area? As you say it doesn't even show up on the list of products on their web site.

To those of you that might be interested I have answered my own query. Imparts Automotive in Eagle Farm stock this (new) item at $21.95 a can. To avoid confusion with other products for DPF the part number is LM 2729. I will be making the trip over to collect a can soon. Hope other people find this information useful.

Picked up a can the other day. Cost was $19.50 and the name has now changed to DPF PROTECT. I would post a photo of the can but I don't know how to on this forum!

Upload the image to Photo bucket and then highlight the little box beside "IMG" copy that into here by clicking on the green square above and paste the URL from photobucket into that.

Had heaps of DPF issue all the way to 30k km due to short trips and interupted regens. After using the BP Ultimate diesel plus Cleendiesel and DPf service additive from cleenergy.com.au I hardly have any issues even interupted regens.

Did you get their Diesel service pack? It seems pretty good value.

So did you need to use all of the DPF service or half of it to clear out your DPF to the point where your car ran properly?

Could it be also that the dealer updated the software, so your dpf now regenerates properly?

Yes I got the service pack. I used all the bottle 300ml on full tank. Then use 140ml on full tank of cleen diesel.
I ordered more of the dpf stuff and plan to use it alternatively with the cleen diesel every month
