The last time I've checked the DPF in our Touareg, I can say that it will easily last far beyond 250k km.
I've only ever had BP in mine, 165,000 kms and the DPF is ok. The Ash level in VCDS says 55%

Do you know at what percentage I should have it off the car and cleaned?

It should be as close to 0% as possible after the regeneration.

        Oh right.

I was told the ash was stuff that can't be burnt, as opposed to soot.

I'll wait for it to regen and look again with VCDS

So I went from Shell diesel to Caltex Vortex diesel to BP Ultimate diesel. I've settled for BP, BP Rozelle advertised it with banners and that is when I noticed since the website seems unreliable i.e. went to BP West Ryde and found no ultimate diesel there?

          Reasons I like BP.
Love their beeping air instead of the old school gauge.
They have a "diesel zone" where diesel cars get their own pumps wee
I found that if other drivers see you waiting after pumping they will move their car then go in and pay thank you lady. (I was busy filling up the car with liqui moly fuel system cleaner anyway).
There are wet wipes for diesel owners and paper towels too.
Cost per L oscillates a cent or two around Shell and Caltex anyway.

          Things I dislike.
Is it just me or are the pumps in BP slower?
When someone buys food or coffee and there is only one guy serving. Long wait zzz.

Dirty water in the buckets half the time.

Is this the right value? It's just after a regen. The DPF value on my AutoPolar was 0.0

For those travelling down to Southern NSW, BP Ultimate Diesel is now available in the ACT, at BP Express Phillip (they reopened just a few months ago, the servo was totally rebuilt). It seems to be the only source for BP Ultimate down this way (so far). Might be of interest for anyone travellign down here, especially in Winter, and who want to stick with this fuel.

Sweet! That's my second go to.

Has anyone checked the BP on Prospect Highway at Seven Hills?

Filled up Friday at Girraween 1020km:fuel, put trip meter:000 drove home 1050km:fuel.
Saturday drove to Bathurst for lunch, then home, we did 100+ in the 100 zones & 110+ in the 110 zone
                        .... 1200km:fuel + 351.3km:trip = 1551.3km!!

Tried BP ultimate diesel for the first time from BP in Mortdale.

I filled up with just under a 1/4 tank remaining of ultimate and i'd done 800km with another 150 estimated remaining! This fuel is amazing! So i filled up again... Shame no where in the blue mountains sells it

I seem to get good mileage out of normal BP diesel too.

One diesel to avoid is costco diesel.... No idea who their supplier is, but its horrible stuff. Only got 150km to a 1/4 of a tank, and that was with highway driving on a free flowing highway! Avoid that for sure!

You should not make a decision on a single tank of fuel. No matter how consistently you drive, there are many factors that are not within your control.
