I didn't even think of the actual manufacturer, silly me. Where is the VAG number located then?

Sorry, you're probably sick of my questions by now but, do you think/know if there would be/is any difference between '059 906 051c' and '059 906 051a'?
        Thank you,
        Alex.

Same part, but calibrated to suit different parameters.

Yep, different DPF sizes for a start I would think.

The only way to tell for sure is to get a Vag Com Cable and follow the guide I will type up today / tomorrow on how to monitor and diagnose your DPF. If the switch is playing up you will get more frequent regens, but so too driving style, fuel, oil, and any other sensor playing up can put the ECU into a "mileage" cycle so it regens more often to protect itself, rather than do it when it actually needs to.

The MK6 cars may be slightly different to the MKV writeup I will do, but I can't see it being particularily so, pressure difference, load, and ash levels are the key parameters to monitor in any particle filter.

Thanks. I thought it might have been to do with the different DPF's but I wasn't sure. Ill make sure to check out your write up as soon as you're done.
