My cars seems to love visiting the dealership...B7 Passat TDI.
When DPF light came on took it for a long drive on the freeway, however the light never cleared.
So back to the dealer. They ordered a new ECU but it will take a couple of weeks to arrive.
So they reset current ECU and we took it home. Car sounds strange. It kept doing regen (fan running on shut down)
Took it on long freeway drive to help it finish regen. But no after hour of driving still doing regen. Drove car again and ping DPF light came on. Back to dealership. They disconnected sensor to troubleshoot and regen still going. Now they are checking for exhaust leak..
could it be the caused of continuous regen
Anyways Im leaving my car with them until the new ECU arrives. They reckon also the Regen is not finishing hence why it keeps going..hence why new ECU is required.
Anyone had issues with DPF??care to elabore and give me their experience whether VW can really fix the problem.
