Well, Its that time.
Since selling my mk3, I've been tinkering with the cabriolet and the Skoda has stayed stock.
Until now.
Thanks to Viezu, I've just gained a bunch of kW and Nm that the 77TDI keeps hidden away in stock form.
Those of you who remember my old powerquest thread will know that I shed plenty of sweat making my old mk3 1.9 TD a faster car.
This time is a little different - I have rather more grown up priorities to attend to now, and I certainly dont want to make the Octavia into a car I need to work on all the time, but, I am still looking at a few mods.
So far, this is what I've done to the Wagon:
> Eibach Pro-Kit
> Provent 200
> Kufatec E-MFA
> Viezu remap
and what I shall be working on in the not too distant future:
> new, bigger intercooler piping, including delete of the ASV and EGR valve. Perhaps a better intake manifold altogether.
> full straight through exhaust and downpipe
> GTI/RS brakes (when the brakes wear out)
> Perhaps some of those nice Superpro wishbones/bushings
> sachs single mass flywheel and clutch kit (this when the clutch wears out)
I'm going to keep the turbo stock for as long as it lasts. I have another ecu map up my sleeve for later on which could be a bit "balls out", so no predictions here, but certainly if something happens to poor little KP39 in the future, then I'll be looking to a -17 or bigger.
Big thanks to Greg and Simon for helping me out with my special needs
