My New South gauge has a pissweak shade of blue in the LED which doesn't match the cluster.

Do you happen to know if you can change the colour?

Hmm thats strange...same set out? Mine was weak at first but adjusted it the dimmer switch lol

Hey guys, ive got a dilemma...im at the point where i want an extra ooomph for the tdi. Am thinking about changing the colour scheme on the dub from red to maybe teal? Was gonna get teal coloured rims, calipers, engine cover, gti stripe etc what are your thoughts? Havent done anything yet just looking for opinions

Adrian I think great minds think alike because so fat pretty much everything you are doing is exactly what I'm gonna do(thought about it all before you did it don't worry haha)
Gti front with Gti stripe In yellow, yellow engine cover, yellow capillars... But also yellow walls
R32 rear with TBE.
but I was thinking I'll do jetta grille for the Gti front

Edit. Just realised I'm getting the same gauge setup this is mental haha

No way?! Thats sick dude ! Keen to see it all finished up thats for sure yeah i dont know where teal came from i just woke up one morning and thought of it haha just not sure if it would sit well on a silver car i hope so cause im going through with it !

iv seen a mk5 on some american forum i think with teal bbs lm (i think) and the gti band on the front bar in teal aswell but no calipers.

but i saw that once and havnt found it again. yeh i think it will look fine on the silver.

Sweet thanks heaps for the opinion didnt realise there was another golf out there like it haha but theres tonnes of stanced mkv's in the UK would be keen to attend one of their meets just for inspiration when are the mods coming in mate ?

It's not in Australia so it's all good and yeh would love to go the some of the uk meets they are on a whole different level.

Well getting some small things now just need to wait for shipping and put em on/in, GTI head lights that I have just need to put them in, bought an antenna from eBay last night so waiting for that(so sick of that stupid whip antenna.. Just don't go with the car at all.)
Going to order handles, pillars and mirror caps... Thinking chrome for handles and pillars not sure if ill do the mirrors...

Need some more funds to get started on the good stuff. Did a build thread last night have a look for my list

There was a black MK5 GTI getting around with this colour scheme. In Brisbane I believe...

They were a mesh style wheel, but not BBS. Owner sold it a while ago. I'll see if I can find a pic of it...

Oh damn...wanted to be the only one in aus lmao! Clearly didnt work out well...we need more stanced dubs ! Im trying to find pics of teal rims on any golf mkv and cant find any its always electric blue or red haha i know MK5_tdi has blue bbs super rs on his and they look good but his car is that same colour so works well! Taking a chance on the new look will order next week

anyone have any ideas as to how i can re-trim my GTI front grille stripe from red to teal? Tried asking around to get it wrapped but wasnt advisable...any other ideas? Could get them repainted i guess...and also wanted my front and rear tdi badge done in teal as well (the red "DI" in "TDI" if that makes sense)
