Winning! Looks so much better and has the quality feel compared to our T-Bars. Its a shame it isnt a straight swap over! I was so scared to heat and twist that plastic thing holding the lever pin. Did you manage to do it without a worry or? Unfortunately for me heating the pin was the least of the troubles. What was meant to be a 10 minute job took nearly 2 hours. The trigger pin and locating pin inside the assembly were just floating around which meant the whole trigger assembly had to be taken apart and everything needed to be lined up again. It was like a jig-saw puzzle but got there in the end with help of a friend.
Anyone thinking about doing this take caution.

That shifter looks great!!
The initial DSG shudder and the ridiculous shifter in the Octavia put me right off the DSG option... But loving my manual.
How hard was it to wrap?2012 Octavia vRS TDI. Darkside big turbo, 3bar tune, other stuff. 200kW/650Nm.

Wrapping was quite easy, just time consuming and a little fiddly making the necessary cuts and folds. Took about an hour max.
