Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I WILL get a DSG Rocco in Rising Blue.

Looking at leasing through work versus buying privately. As far as buying goes, I've had a quote of 54 g's including on roads at McGrath Sutherland. I wasn't negotiating an actual deal so not sure how well I could bargain if I was talking serious. Having bought many cars before, I know there's some wiggle room. But how much do VW wiggle?

Anybody have an idea of what the DSG (no leather or sunroof) seems to be going for at the mo?

    Cheers,

    Rob.

    Nice colour choice
IMHO you HAVE to have the DSG it is absolute magic
best of both worlds if just moving along in stop start traffic or peddling it along - paddle shifts are real FUN

    OK - on the price
I took delivery of mine in January for a deal that was signed mid August last year and leasing completed on 30th December
Decided to hold registration off till January to make it a 2016 car - well that was the theory
Anyway, back in August the car had just arrived in Oz and Dealer was happy to hold it to December

At the time it was the first of the MY16 to arrive and they hadn't been released here yet
Fact is I/we didn't even know about the MY16 model
It is Pure White DSG - no leather or sunroof - but naturally all the standard options that we get here
It has full set of factory floor mats too - not sure if they are usually included
We paid $50K drive away with 5 years extended factory warranty
    Hope that helps
Oh yeah - we are just south of Brisbane so not Sydney but pricing should be similar ??
Dealer was absolutely great to deal with - nothing was a problem
