The official I have ordered/received my new Scirocco thread
I still love mine to bits (had it 2 1/2 years) and I still get people stopping me and asking questions about it, stage 1 is worth having a look at. It's very different from your Camry!
Watch out for that front bumper - it's liable to scraping.
BMW Z4 (2019)
Audi TT quattro (2015), s-line in Nano Grey - sold
I have APR tune on my 2013 Rocco and am very happy with it! I know its not the cheapest option but from what i have read if you have the $ go APR! Going stage 2 next week with VWRacing intake and APR downpipe and tune, should be fun!
I can't imagine what the APR tune must be like - I've had it since Thursday and I'm utterly in love - being able to putter around in drive during peak hour, then opening up in sports mode when I get the chance - just a sensational car.
I've gone a year and two months without a car (I work close to the city, and have gullible friends) and my previous car was a 2004 Camry.. today I'll be taking delivery of a MY15 Scirocco R in Rising Blue, DSG, leather seats, ex demo (65kms in total). To say I'm a little excited would be an understatement - I've never been a *massive* fan of Golfs, but I fell in love the second I saw the news article in 2010 stating the Scirocco was coming here. Can't wait!!
Nice! Similar spec.. 8 months of daily driving and never bored..
Enjoy!

Hi all
Like most on here, it was a case of love at first sight when the Scirocco was first released
Never thought I would actually be able get one as it was out of my league, but you can dream - seems dreams DO come true
Signed all the paperwork a couple months back for an MY16 car that had just landed - unbelievable deal
Well it has now been complied and delivered to SEQ, but can't pick it up till end of December - long story
It is in an underground storage area covered with a car cover.
Dealer let me put blankets under the car cover to prevent scratching and said I can "visit" it any time I want
Been 3 times so far LOL
Even said I could take for a test drive - but I think that would make the wait even harder
Been detailed and pre-delivered - now got 16kms on the clock
Went for the DSG
Just sitting there waiting
Anyway some photos (I hope)
This what is underneath
Now for the controversial bit - please don't "flame" me on this
Have ordered a set of GTS stripes ex China -
IMHO the looks of the Scirocco cannot be improved, except, perhaps, by adding the GTS stripes -
On the UK Scirocco Forum there seems to be a distinct dislike of the stripes - but I love the look of them
So to make mine different to the GTS, I plan on running the stripes down over the bumpers, front and back
Something like this EDIT This is the "Beast" with the GTS stripes fitted
Dealer has agreed to let me fit them before pick up - even offered an air-conditioned work room to fit them
So now just have to continue waiting and waiting and waiting
Will actually wait and register first available day in January and make it a 2016 car
Shame the photo's didn't work but congratulations on the purchase, it's a really great car. Will look out for you with the stripes
Hi Scratchyratface
Thanks
Been a long wait - actually started 2 years ago and it was going to be an Abarth Competizione
But Fiat Aust. in their wisdom decided NOT to bring the ultimate 180hp Abarth into Australia so the change to the Scirocco was an easy one.
A bit dearer but a lot more car for the money
Will be interesting to see how the stripes turn out - sure changes the look of the car
Funny thing is that in the UK a lot of them take the stripes off
OK - putting in photos is a bit new to me
Before I logged in the photos were there OK, so I got my wife to go in on her computer as a "visitor" and the photos were there too
Hmmmmmmm
They were uploaded to PhotoBucket and the link copied from there
I used the IMG URL=http:// link
Any idea what I'm doing wrong ??
Can anyone else see the photos - or not ????
Just realised that you are just to the north
My son travels to work in Brisbane and said he sees a Rocc almost every day
apart from visiting mine, I haven't seen one on the road in over 3 months - so they certainly rare
Read somewhere that total sales in Oz last year was 280 odd cars
You can just upload photo's direct to this site now using the icon in the toolbar when typing a reply. Works great.
Yeah the Scirocco's are still quite rare - don't see many around but you'll get loads of people asking you about them. I've had mine nearly 3 years and just the other day someone stopped me in Cleveland and wanted a chat about it.
According to Motor mag the sales for the Roc have increased since the revised model came out - compared to the previous year (+100%)

Thanks for the heads up
Just tried - a lot easier than using PhotoBucket and heck of a lot faster - had both images (for me anyway) for a while until I removed the links - hope it's all working now

OK it's a VW - But it really helps when they don't put the name on the car - LOL
Can't say it will worry me though - good excuse to talk about it
My daughter is down from Rockhampton so I took her up yesterday to have a look at it as she has never seen one
Good excuse for me to sit in it again -
She was very impressed

That's good news - when I read about the 280 or so yearly sales - can't recall which sales year, maybe it was 2013
I would not have been surprised if VW had dropped it from our market like they have done with the Up
Very glad they didn't !!!
Don't worry mate - can see your images fine. Congrats on the new 'Roc purchase - very nice indeed!
Thanks Adam, can't wait to get my hands on it - well actually drive it
Did the changes before I saw your post - wonder why Scratchyratface can't see the pics ??
Anyway, as he said "works great" won't be using PhotoBucket way again
Congrats! Its an awesome car for daily fun..
I was actually curious to see a striped rocco and found good examples of white ones in google..
No rising blue ones though.. looking forward to seeing urs..
