Haha... I am only looking at the stance after it is lowered... not the wheels or the colour... well I like the wheels.. but not matte black.

I believe the same colour as she_dub has would look spectacular on Viper Green...not too dark... but certainly dark enough...
I am sure some clever person in here could Photoshop it for you...

    • It's not the talladegas, it's the oem brake pads. From experience, the better the brake pad performs, the more brake dust and the standard package definitely stops very well coming from an ex Brembo and AP Racing user

If you could keep them clean and looking new I think the VG wold look mad with gloss black. But it's a pain to maintain. In the membrane. I'm going insane.

The brake dust is not as noticeable on the gunmetal. Having said that, I've only had the wheels this colour for a couple of days, though I have noticed it's less glossy lol

After having gone down the gunmetal / anthracite path, I am biased towards the anthracite, as there still definition between the wheel and the tire. You also have the benefit (or curse) of being able to chose shades of grey.. warm or cold etc.. with black.. it's just black.

          • Thanks she_dub that is a good point about the definition between the wheel and tyre. I quite like the Talladegas too and they would still be visible with the anthracite. Coincidentally I saw a Golf R in RB today with full black wheels and they were just too dark.

            • I picked these up today....

Now I just need to arrange fitting..

As a side note to this... I have started this thread... http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...tml#post794384

              • I went out today to look at options for improving the sound from the standard RNS510 and after talking to numerous "specialists" and being offered everything from $150 DIY 6.5" Sub to a $1500 ++ Custom fibreglass enclosure with a 12 inch sub and monoblock amp.. I decided on a FOCAL BUS25 Slimline Active sub pictured below.

It is a 10" slimline dual voice coil sub with a 150 watt amp built in... not massive but it will be enough to fill out the low end which is what I want.

Now to figure out exactly where and how to mount it...

There is this option... Bass solutions for VW boots..
Or I can mount it on one side as it is only 80 mm deep...

I also need to find the time to do all of this...lol

No more spending..... for now anyway..

                • I think you will find the focal sub to be very good. My business is in audio (not automotive i should add) and focal have a good reputation as a high quality, well designed product. Enjoy.

I have got focal speakers in my ds3, and can i just say that they are fantastic. And yes as Mac said, from what i have seen, Focal have a very good rep. in the audio industry. I thought I would add that I am usually a B&W guy myself, but hearing the focals (especially for automotive speakers) I am thoroughly impressed. Enjoy the bass!

Nice pick up on the sub, though. Tell me how it sounds.... when it gets installed... eventually

                      • I have been trying to find a picture of a roof wrap that extends over to the spoiler, but it's curved along the lines of the spoiler. I think it was discussed that it must be painted when Andrew got his wrapped and Carbon Demon done straight line.

So since I'm getting a Votex spoiler which needs resprayed to CW might as well get them to extend the black roof.

                        Cheers guys

                        • So for those mad modders with too much money here are a couple of pictures of an interesting looking mod that may be worth a look. From what I have read they are a straight bolt on and seem to be around 500 or 600 bucks. Thoughts anyone?

Hmmm..... I don't know the roc doors are pretty long... It'd be swapping the door width problem for a door height problem..
