I built a concept showcar with Hyundai Australia for the Ozzy Motorshow circuit in 2004-05 and put scissor kits on the Blown Tiburon (anyone see it) I did and I gotta tellya they are a pain in the arse.
Freak folks out - but they are painful. The kit I used you could open the door normally about 12 inches to get out in a hurry or then up they would go but you had to be careful closing them and passengers could never get it right and rego knocked it back so in the end I removed them for Hyundai after they bought it back off me. Novelty for about the first 3 months and the you wonder WHY you did it.
My 2 cents anyway
We decided to send the springs back to Ian as it was just going to be too much hassle for Marti to get the thing into and out of her garage at the office if it was any lower.

Cheers Al
Sorry to hear about the springs, Al.
I had a look under the car when it was up on the hoist, it wasn't pretty.. the two sections where the lip comes to a point was completely scrapped off.. I've never done that kind of damage on any of my cars previously
More pics:
Apart from the aesthetics, the car handles better.. I can't wait to get the anti lift kit and sway bar kit now...

I must be lucky as I have checked mine this morning and there is not a single mark under the front.... so far...

There is an even more pronounced "rake" front to rear now isnt there.. it looks really good, certainly not as low as Bains but given your front splitter that could be a good thing.
Mine are being done on Tuesday so when I get back from Brisbane sometime Wednesday and pick her up I will post up some pics for comparison.

Ha! There was a Black 3 Door Golf R that came into the suspension place after me, yesterday, apparently the owner is active on forums (Hi there!) he was getting the KW's out of his car, and putting them back to stock springs for sale. I still want KW's... who needs a front lip anyway? :/
If any Scirocco R owners are interested, i will quite possibly have a Forge Twintake to suit a Scirocco R for sale in a few days. Ive put a EOI thread in the for sale section for now. See link below for details.
