Here is a pic of my beloved Scirocco Storm, which I owned in the UK, and which unfortunately is still in the UK.

It was Cosmos Blue, with Full Leather from the Factory. My mates called it the De Lorean, from Back to the Future.



Any Scirocco owners in Australia?

Anyone in the UK know the whereabouts of this car?

There is a friend of mine up here that has one. It came over from the uk as far as i know.

perth rocco's,

yeah, i have shed full of rocco's, 1 x silver green storm, awaiting repair from prang easter 2004, 1 x 79 GLS auto , driven daily, have swapped 1.8 + 5 speed into it, 1 x 79 GLS man 4 speed partially stripped,purchased with siezed 1.6 carb engine, 1 x 81 cosmos blue storm, no mechanicals has been bent on RHS, very rusty, one half of 77 or 78 GLS,very rotten, majority went to the scrapyard cept the innards. have tons of hard to find Mk1 bits personally imported from offshore at great expense, have 2 x 2.0 L 2e engines, 1 x 1.8 16V KR soon to be 2.0L, and a couple of 1.8's also, fair bit of early K jet stuff and pointless ign systems, TB's etc...several 1.6 heron heads and blocks as well.

also a red Mk1 here in perth with a turbo 1.8 16V in it, + another Gli that should be on its way to melbourne for a donor car for a feller there who has the 76 press release rocco..

there is a Mk2 rocco round here as well, but not yet tracked down the owner, know of another silvergreen storm to.

and of course i have a MK1 Golf awaiting a rebuild (always have to have at least one about..) and 2 cabrio's that are to be scrapped.

Dont have any rocco's to sell now, If i come across another i will post it here.

The cabbies are being scrapped, as the 90 ( or thereabouts model) has already been in a prang, did originally have NSW rego, some guy bought it over here and took out the engine & trans. Has been smacked up the rear and a few dings in the front, I will be using the interior in my Mk1 3 door. Some front panels, doors etc. will be available for those that want them.

The other cabbie (80) is complete but very rusty, the sills are of the see thru variety. i will be taking the mechanicals out of this car, its a 1.6 Inj with a 5 speed, still have'nt uncovered the engine prefix to see if its an EG or not.

Some of the engine components will be for sale at some time in the future.

Golfwise , I take it you have the clipper body kit, I will have a look and see what of the flares are remaining. the car had been partially stripped when I took ownership. It is stored away from my location so it will be a while before i can get too check it for you.

This car I bought for $300 with siezed engine, hood , doors and hatch all have panel damage, but bodyshell is reasonable, also has no sunroof..

This was my first rocco,( 1980 storm) purchased in late 83 ( if i remember correctly..) got biffed by a corolla easter 2004, have front end panels coming from the states to reconstruct it..there still on the water.

Just to re-iterate Grant, let me know of any other roccos you may find. I`d rather have a Mk2 though!
