Random Scirocco in a field

So I was out and about on my travels today and the mechanic at the garage was listening to my Scirocco story and said "oh yeah , we`ve got one out the back". they have too!

Mk2 Scirocco, with the american style front on it 4 square lights, but later model tailgate and definately a Mk2!

In original tired condition with no engine and box. Ugly paintwork, no bodykit, but almost no rust.

Apparently it has been registered in Australia, but as a Passat 2 door!

He is gonna try and chase up some papers for it and talk to the boss, but they want to sell it if anyone wants a scirocco project.

I`m gonna go back next week and drop off Seat parts, so I`ll keep you posted.

I`ll have to go back with a camera, its a fair drive.

Its Silver, bootlid is black, interior is original, dash is rooted.
The owner can find the papers, or a reciept for rego purposes.
He said he wants $1200!

The body is good man, couple of bubbles, but mostly just baked.
Floors are good too.
It is on wheels.
I`ll go back and take pics and see if he has got the papers yet.

Come with a trailer and cash and take it away. Its in Smithfield.
I hav enough projects, but there cant be too many Roccos in the road in Australia.

Its in the open and the shell is sound. Has some surface rust and is baked, but its all complete and the interior is there, but very faded.

Most importantly it has been registered in oz before, so has a useable VIN number, easier than importing one.

The car needs a full resto, by someone keen.
