All I can say is that the R20T will be reality, as if you guys haven't read my Euro trip forum I spoke to a guy at Wolfsburg Autostadt and he said that there is GTI 200hp, R20T = 270hp and R32 = 350hp

After initially believing (and hoping) that the Scirocco will make it to Australia, the dealer in Brisbane this morning finally shot my belief to pieces.

The dealer network has no knowledge of it coming and they would not even take a deposit from me on one. They were however happy to take a deposit on a R20T Golf ......

The dealer network normally is pretty cluey on cars appearing shortly and they have no knowledge of it coming, even as a stopgap to the Golf GTI which is 10-12 months away in the MK6.

Yep i got the same thing from my dealers, they reckon if the roc comes here at all it won't be till at least next year. Shame as it is the only car that could come between me and an Abarth 500. Another option is getting one from NZ who get it in a month or so, low $A30s over there, probably close to 40k by the time you get it here but a little too complicated for me. Bad move by VW aus.

There will be no R32....or R36....emissions laws etc etc...dont believe what people tell you...believe what government bodies tell you :p
