Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Corrado pictures VR6 Storm

    Hi,

Have not posted anything for ages, so thought I better had.
Doing a front end rebuild on the suspension. This started as changing the lower arms and discs, but I thought why not give her a birthday.
So new genuine vw discs and pads I bought over 7 years ago, all new fasteners and rubbers from VW, new brake lines, replacement brake pistons, all parts except calipers blasted and powder coated satin black. Calipers finished in satin heat resistant black.
New ball joints and a/r bar links, new wheel bearings.
Also replaced the M/cylinder as original had soft pedal pressure.

I cant work out why my pictures are upside down, have spent an hour trying to get right, so sorry to all but you will have to look at then upside down. Any help here would be appreciated.
If you need to know anything about corrados, then just ask me.

    Cheers

Hey mate, what are you doing in the UK, I thought you lived here? Yeah I know the pictures are arse about. Took them on my I Phone and even after editing them on the PC to be the right way up, they still came out upside down!! The front end is all reassembled now. I have the rear axle beam out and stripped. All parts have been powder coated, except the calipers. Just waiting for the final fasteners to arrive from Germany, then I can reassemble. Changed all nut and bolts for new VAG, new brake hoses, pads and axle beam rubber mounts. Should look sweet!
