Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Geez, that really brings a lump to the throat!! I had a silver 16v Corrado that looked so like that one - wish it had been the G60 as I might still have had it but there ya go! Still a lovely looking car - have you seen the new pics of the Iroc or the Eos? Still think the Corrado's a better looking car by far.....

Hi mate, yeah the first G60's had those Sebring wheels that i expect your 16V had. Corrado's look awesome in Silver.

It did, I always wanted the VR6 type wheels but it did look excellent in silver. To this date my wife still doesn't believe me that when I went to test drive it I didn't know about the spoiler.....<sigh> and this guy was telling me to put my foot down, etc...

I looked in the rear view mirror and thought 'F**k, the bloody boot's opening!?!?' at exactly the same time he explained about the spoiler. That was it from then on in - it was as good as sold!!

I know, it's mad but to date it's been the best car I've owned for handling! I had a new Golf Mk4 1.8T after that and although it was a good car you just couldn't chuck it into a corner as quickly. Mind you, I don't think I ever managed to get the back wheel airborne?!?!
