Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Getting a hold of some Mk7 golf gti/r rims

hey guys just wanted to find out the best way to find a set of mark 7 golf r rims and/or gti rims.

With a need for some new tires I also decided upon getting a wheel upgrade. From what I have seen within the forum a set of michelins is also the go? Would really appreciate any feedback, cheers.

Funny thing is I've in exactly the same position. Tyres are just about gone and the idea of new wheels too is tempting.

I've seen plenty of reps of the GTI wheels floating around (new) but don't know that I want reps... otherwise it's usually down the luck of what someone might be upgrading. Plan B... RPF01 looks very nice.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

There's usually sets of either going on the classifieds, although time may be against you if the tyres are gone.

If you like OZs click my link.

Those are pretty hot, definitely not cheap but then again neither are a full set of gti/r rims new.

Isn't it always tempting to upgrade from what we already have .
