    Try tempe tyre sydney.
With good alignment and proper racing line driving, they should last more than 10,000km

Tyre wear is subjective and depends heavily on the driver right foot.

My friend's mk6 gti killed his front dunlop gt sport in under 10,000km.

nat225 makes a very good point. To add further:

Once the car is set-up, it is the drivers' job to get the most speed out of the tires without overusing them. "The pilot's driving style also
influences tire durability over a race distance: heavy breaking and aggressive overtaking manoeuvres, as well as hitting the curbs and rumble strips all have a negative effect on the tire wear. Avoiding these can all help to save the tires: in the end the drivers' job is to find the balance between performance and tire management. Finally, the condition of the track's surface also affects the tire's lifetime. Some tracks are more abrasive than others," ...

              Size: 22540R18
              Load Rating: 92
              Speed Rating: W
              $295.00 Kmart

              Option 1 want $308 a corner.

so far its tyrepower then, i just have to check that they are quoting the right model and size as its far cheaper than all other suppliers...
For KU36, try Stylish Wheels and Tyres, Moss St, Slacks Creek, they often had specials on KU36's. Worth a try for a quote at least.
I got my Hankook RS3's from Peter at Jax quickfit at Bowen Hills, I've been there a few times now and they do good.

thanks mate, i'll deffo try stylish wheels although last time i went past they looked like they had closed down?

i spoke to jason at jax bowen hills about 3 hours ago and got the hankook's down to $215 a tyre which i thought was good.

but i've actually gone back to the ku36's after reading this review...

you could go on reading reviews for weeks though and go full circle. i reckon ku36 would be a bit more agressive and fun to push in the corners...
