Not really, heaps are going for the superturismos now on skoda fabia,s and polos. If seen more then I can count recently.

The superturismos just look like a blob in black with so many spokes so close.

People are getting the oz racing wheels cheaper now where as the CH aren't cheap

Superturismos have only 2 more spokes than the CH and those spokes are in fact slimmer and extend much further in towards the wheel centre/hub....whereas CH are 'branched' out and more chunky around the centre.

If you venture outside the VW domain and peer towards the many BMWs getting around....you will notice a lot are sporting BBS CH.

For me...I like to be different.

Really? i'd like to know where you can get cheap Oz Racing wheels - SuperTurismo's are $576 each while the CH's are $696. So I would say both of them aren't cheap really. Certainly not a huge price difference between the two to warrant choosing one over the other.

Postage is £250. Converted to aus dollars is roughly $1800 posted with new bolts and rings compared to 2400 for CH here not including the right bolts and rings
If where counting others cars then if seen more mercs and subies with turismos then if seen CH on anything. Most of CH I see are reps and they don't count.

Actually 1072 Pounds + 250 Pounds = 1322 pounds = $1913 Aus Add in Import tax and it will bring it up to standard Australian prices.

They will send them separately (2 at a time) postage is the same all up and you avoid the tax if you leave a week or so between them.
They only take a week to arrive so the waits not that long. That saves you at least $400

They actually charge the same postage rate if they have to send 2 wheels or 4 so if fact you will be charged twice and it wont work out, better off just paying the taxes - here's why

                    Cost for two wheels - $652 + $426 shipping + $0 import duty + $0 import VAT = $1078 x 2 = $2156
                    Cost for four wheels - $1304 + $426 shipping + $65.2 import duty + $179.52 import VAT = $1974.72

Still at $1974 its $330 cheaper than local costs so probably worth doing. All depends on what kind of a deal you can get here from the locals.

Don't know who you spoke to but I just had them sent that way. Wheels where going to be just over $1000 aus so I emailed and had them sent 2 at a time. £125 pounds per two. So it can be done.

Fair enough - I was only going by what their website states - perhaps you got a good deal when speaking with them direct. I'll make some enquires and see what they say.

Ok I spoke to James too and he said that a split postage cost would be $511.00 ( $255.50 x 2 ) compared to $425 for a single shipment. This is irrespective if it was just wheels or a wheels/tyre package so my options and costs would be the following -

                            Option 1 - 4 x Wheels $1304 + $425 shipping + $65.20 Import Duty + $179.42 Import VAT = $1973.62
                            Option 2 - 2 x Wheels $652 + $255.50 shipping + $0 Import Duty + $0 Import Vat x 2 = $1815.00
                            Option 3 - 4 x Wheels with tyres ( Falken453's) $1971.35 + $425 shipping + $98.56 Import Duty + $249.49 Import Vat - $2744.40
                            Option 4 - 2 x wheels with tyres ( Falken453's) $985.67 + $255.50 shipping + $0 Import Duty + $0 Import VAT x 2 = $2482.34

Going by this its always cheaper to do the split postage, even with a tyre package which I have to say sounds tempting as it works out to be only $166 per tyre. Doubt I'll get any tyres here that cheap.
