  • H&R Sport Springs

    Hi,

I was looking to lower my ride with H&R Sport Springs (MKV GTI) and I was quoted $1050 including installation from TCCA Antarmon Sydney.

Is that normal? I have a feeling its kinda rip-off.

Any other suggestions of tyre shops that sell these springs in Sydney?

    Cheers.

ECS have them for pretty cheap. I think you should be able to get them to your door for about $400 all up. Then the install shouldn't be more than $200....

Buy them from Awesome GTI in the UK.

You can get them delivered to your door for just shy of $300AU.

yeah mate, as others have said - try orange tuning - their H&R 35mm sport springs are only 99gbp which is $147aud at the current exchange rate. probably factor in another 100gbp for shipping, and then install will cost $250 or so, unless you can do it yourself.

yeah, local guys love to charge big for a simple spring kit. to think i was actually seriously considering the eibach "lowering" (mildest lowering option for the polo) kit for $1k, at my local pedders...

              thank god for internet forums.

grey import suspension kits are the flavor of the day, for sure.

i got my coilies through slammed distribution, which was both very competitive when compared with overseas prices (not to mention i didnt have to go through the hassle of waiting for a $1000+ kit to sit in customs and get cleared), as well as being trouble free and FAST shipping.

im sure there are people who take the "official" distributors' prices as "oh well, that's just what it costs", but even 10 mins on google looking for a car forum (even for hyundai guys) will enable peeps to save hundreds, if not thousands, for their suspension.

^ as per my PM, the tracking is useless once the package leaves Germany. It will be delivered by an Aust Post contractor.
