    Hi guys

Just a quick question. Planning to get some ContiSport 5 fairly soon and I did get on tirerack site to check it out.
I could not pass the shipping ZIP code page?!? Do I need to get in contact with them (via email) to order?

    Thanx

The $1000 thing is a bit of a grey area, and something to consider is that if you get a few things in at once, and customs deems them to be "close enough" in timeframe, they can tax you on the combined total! So if you get 2 x $1000 shipments in the same week, you're running a big risk, and despite a lengthy discussion with customs in the ACT, there was no set period to that "timeframe" - seems it is up to local customs discretion. They did however say if those two packages went to different people at different addresses, no problem.

        Got any friends?

Tirerack seems to be the "gold standard" for the online shop. Anyone with any experience with performancealloys.com? It seems to be a little bit cheaper?

performancealloy fan here. they sent oz racing and bbs, which tirerack no longer do.
they are slightly dearer than tirerack, so ill get rubber off tirerack in the future

Hi I'm looking to order a set of rims from tirerack. Is there a need to purchase the Tire Pressure Monitoring System sensors?

I am on my way to place an order with them! Thanks to this thread!! Do I see that right, that as an overseas customer you always have to send them an email when you want to order some gear?

Yes, thats the way for international orders. Contact the sale rep named Sonny, he was really helpful. He replied all my emails within 5 mins, unreal.

                            Hi guys,

Just want to check how much shipping typically adds from tirerack - I just got a quote for $253 shipping for two 18" tyres. Is that about on par with what you guys have experienced?

                            Cheers

Even if it is to your door don't ever use UPS, whether its sending something or having something sent to you, they charge the person who receives parcels exorbitant fees, and never declare their fees upfront before the goods are sent.

if an overseas seller mentions UPS, refuse to buy from them

I paid $360 for 4 wheels (approx 36kgs). They came to my door in 5 days by FedEx.
