Evo Magazine usually reports on that during their tyre test round ups. I guess it depends on the magazine or body that's doing the study. Maybe someone should start a thread which collects (legal) links or summarise of the magazine roundups?
Can't say I've ever read one of these reviews. But feel free to start the collection. Might give you more entertainment than merging 7 threads an hour because people don't read their manual
UNIbrace.com I'm only getting the hatch one for now.
I was told the ALK is good but on the track it eats the bushes associated with it and will require regular replacement, though not pricey. What has been your experience?
Everyone keeps saying the Haldex upgrade but I think I'll leave the nice predictable nature of the car as is to suit my amateur skills!
On the tyre front, have had good reports on those pilot sports from evo9 and ttrs owners, the dunlops were ok on the wet track but they didn't hold up great after a few laps in the dry. Not sure what I'll change to.
Thanks for that I will be looking into that brace.
Eats out bushing? have to keep a eye on that one, if it does I will just replace them with better items,
I can get into a four wheel slide with the dunlops... useless tyre.
I've been importing wheels since 1980 and introduced Rial and Remotec wheels to Australia and also imported Ronal,Intra,EXIP,ARC,Borbet and others.I still have stock of quite a few wheels that are considered extinct like Ronal R10 ,Remotec A's and others and have fitments for cars that go way back to when I started.I can do a lot of hard to fitments like BMW E30,Porsche 924,M-B W107/116/126 etc.
Other stuff includes Racimex wheel locks,Weigl Pro Disc brake dust shields,WX2 Double Wipers and AirPress Wind Deflectors
I just like nice stuff!
2010 Golf R 5 dr , Black , DSG , Leather and 8.5x19 ET50 AZEV Type R

Getting back to this thread, have there been any other R owners fitting the Whiteline ALK?
I've finally got around to ordering my sways but haven't done anything else. The W-ALK is fairly cheap and makes sense to fit with the bars but hoping to hear more feedback on it.
