Was just down the wheel and tyre place to organise a pink slip for the wifes car so asked about the 205/45/R16's I wil eventually need forthe VR6 and was recommended Falken tyres @ $130 a corner.
Just another option for you.
If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
Anybody know any other tyres that may fall under this category? I'm planning to ring some of the places up to get some prices and will update this as I go. Also, the loadings and speed ratings are well within the capabilities of the Golf.
Matt, did you end up getting new tyres? If yes, what did you end up going for? And how much?
After a bit of a think and consult with some people in the know, I've booked in for Nexen 6000's this coming Thursday.
The reason I went for something less-then-stellar is that my current PZero Nero's arent load rated to the car. Apparently, a lot of other tires in my size arent load rated correctly either But the Nexens are.
I dont much fancy my current rims too, so I decided cheap tires for the moment, then save for new rims + tires (although in the mean time need to save up to replace my worn out shocks).
The nexens are going to run me $152 each, for 4. Fitting extra.
Not overly impressed by them, but then again I guess I shouldn't be. Grip is nowhere near the old pirellis, but at least I wont get a ticket from the fuzz now.
